The existing SharePoint on-premises site was running out of support and struggling to operate effectively, presenting some risk for the business. It could fall over at any time and potentially lead to losing key business information. There was a clear need to modernise their digital platforms, they implemented Office 365 with the accompanying requirement to follow that up with an effective intranet to help drive adoption and consumption.

Approach

The nec Group required a central communications platform that allows them to connect with staff and teams, as a result created the intranet #Livewire. The events management company opted to create divisional sites based on their brands. Implementing divisional sites allow each of the brands to share departmental news, while providing their functional teams with access to tools, search, popular content, team and document collaboration sited.
