Release Notes – Q2 2025

Celebrations, template propagation and flexible layouts

Our second release of 2025 is here, and it brings a new set of updates designed to connect employees, streamline intranet management, and give content creators more control. From celebrating your people to syncing your templates and unlocking layout creativity, this release is all about making your intranet work better for everyone.

Let’s take a look at what’s new this quarter.

Celebrations web part: Recognize your people

Whether it’s birthdays, work anniversaries, promotions, or peer awards, the new Celebrations web part is a great way to spotlight and celebrate your colleagues across the intranet.

You can configure it to show celebrations for individuals, lists, or dynamic groups based on user profile properties like department. Each celebration type can be paired with custom icons (think balloons, trophies, and more) for a fun, visual touch, and you can send congratulations directly from the web part.

You can also choose to display celebrations annually and apply filters to keep things relevant to different audiences. This one’s for HR teams looking to boost morale and for any team that values celebrating their people.

Page template propagation: Consistency at scale

Keeping a consistent look and feel across a large intranet just got a lot easier. The page template propagation feature allows internal communicators to select a page template from a site and sync it across multiple publishing sites.

It’s a simple way to make sure brand, layout, and structure stay aligned, ensuring your people can focus on their message while creating content that follows your corporate guidelines—no matter where it’s created, whether from the main communication site or a department site.

Newsletter and editorial calendar enhancements

We’re also continuing to improve features introduced in earlier releases.

Starting with Newsletters, new enhancements include improvements for content curation when building a newsletter, with multi-select support for up to 24 items. And if you’re reusing formats or content, you’ll love the option to clone sent or scheduled newsletters for faster creation.

On the editorial calendar side, we’ve added visibility for scheduled announcements and newsletters. Internal communicators can now choose what publication types to show, including news posts, content pages, newsletters, and announcements. Communicators can see what’s coming up and plan around it, all in a single overview.

That’s content planning made easy! And last but not least…

Support for flexible layout sections: Design without limits

Fresh web parts are now fully supported in Microsoft’s new flexible layout sections. That means you’re no longer limited to three layout columns. You can go up to twelve and rearrange your content however you want.

Want overlapping or resizable web parts? More dynamic page designs? It’s all possible now. This feature is a big win for content creators looking to push the boundaries of their intranet design.

These are just some of the highlights! This release is packed with more improvements and refinements designed to enhance the Fresh Intranet experience even further.

Whether you’re here for the celebrations, the layouts, or just want a smoother way to manage your intranet, the Q2 2025 release has something for you.

If you’re an existing Fresh customer, your Customer Success Manager will share more details with you soon.
